Information about the Spring 2018 Conference

The ability to share ideas quickly and easily in our digital age is reshaping how we view ourselves and our planet.  What is fact and what is fiction?  How can we help our students use science to generate questions and employ evidence to support a claim?  Do you use the CER approach (Claim, Evidence, and Reasoning) with your classes?  As an educator, how do you tackle publicly controversial ideas such as climate change, evolution, stem cell research, and vaccination?  Can we foster critical thinking in our students so they can make wiser and more informed decisions on these important issues?

Please join us on Saturday, March 10th at Framingham State University for the 2018 MABT Conference - Change is in the Air: Claim, Evidence and Reason in a Climate of Anti-Science

You will learn more about the  Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) and how Massachusetts is adopting practices that promote the skills and processes that help students develop higher reasoning in biology.
